Enjoy free live outdoor music on First Fridays in May-October on the lawn of McMurran Hall, in downtown Shepherdstown. Bring your friends/family, a chair or blanket, and stay after the music to dine, shop and play! Today’s band Undertone!

Undertone is the project of songwriter and artist Tony Wilkins. Blending the spirit of ’90s grunge with contemporary Americana and alternative rock, the band carves out a distinct space to explore life’s highs and lows. Featuring Brandon Butts on drums, Georgia Rae Braun on lead guitar, and Randy Nicklas on bass, Undertone is driven by Wilkins’ distinctive, gravelly voice and unflinching lyricism—creating a sound that’s entirely their own. Undertone delivers a compelling live set that balances grit, melody, and emotional depth.
