Sacred Steps: Why We Still Walk the World’s Holy Paths

In an era of hyper-connectivity and deep social division, millions are turning to an ancient practice: the pilgrimage. Drawing on firsthand experiences from the Camino de Santiago, Japan’s Kumano Kodo and Shikoku pilgrimages, and the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, this lecture will explore the modern evolution of the sacred walk and the complex economic realities of ‘sacred tourism.’
