Whether you’re picking up your instrument again after a break, looking for an encouraging ensemble to build your skills, or searching for a community of fellow string players, there’s a place for you at the Shepherd University Community Music Program.
This fall, we’re welcoming auditions for:
🎼 Sinfonia: A Learning String Ensemble
Perfect for developing violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists looking to strengthen their ensemble playing in a supportive, educational environment.

🎻 Shepherd Community Orchestra
Designed for more experienced musicians who want to perform outstanding orchestral repertoire alongside fellow community members.
Director: Camilo Pérez-Mejía
📅 Auditions: August 26 | 6:00–9:00 p.m. (please register)
📍 Frank Arts Center, Shepherd University Community Music Program
Rehearsals begin September 2, with our semester culminating in a performance on December 9.
