Thomas LaVoy’s The Witness: Incidents of the War of the Rebellion is a powerful concert experience that explores the human stories of the American Civil War. Drawing on the handwritten memoir of Union soldier James Waxler, The Witness invites audiences to encounter courage, resilience, and hope in the face of one of America’s most defining moments.
This staged performance is presented by Artistic Director Jason Strunk and Renatum, West Virginia’s professional choir. Stage direction by Maria Watson.
